Passionate followers of Ariana Grande are urging that a individual who breached a fence and grabbed the actress during Thursday's Wicked: For Good debut be arrested or expelled from Singapore.

A viral footage reveals the individual from Australia shoving aside media personnel and rushing toward Grande while the actors made its way down a promenade accompanied by supporters.

Fellow actress Cynthia Erivo quickly pulled the stunned performer away from Mr Wen, who was observed being removed of the gathering by event staff.

Mr Wen shared on Instagram recently that he was "let go after being detained", though official papers showed that he was scheduled to attend court on the next day. It is unknown if he was charged.

Pattern of Event Invasions

This is not an isolated incident for Mr Wen, who describes himself as a "Controversial Figure", has crashed a performance. His Instagram feed contains clips of him interrupting other star-studded functions, including jumping on stage at the artist's Sydney show in June this year and in a like fashion during The Chainsmokers concert in the city last winter.

"Steps should be implemented applied against him as this is obviously a criminal offence," stated an Instagram user, in a response to a video Mr Wen posted of his behavior.

"Oh wow so you do this a lot... how aren't you in jail?" a different Instagram user wrote.

Followers Show Disapproval Over Ariana's Safety

Many supporters accused Mr Wen for "triggering past anxiety" Grande, who had spoken of dealing with PTSD after a terrorist explosion at the finale of her May 2017 show in Manchester, killing 22 people and injuring numerous individuals.

"After everything she's faced... including the Manchester attack, you considered it entertaining to rush the barrier?" commented another message on Instagram.

A number of fans also faulted security officers at the gathering for not being adequately prepared; while some requested social media platforms to block Mr Wen's videos.

Response and Event Details

In footage shared widely, Grande looked shocked when she was touched by the individual. Her cast members Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be spotted reassuring her while Mr Wen was escorted away by guards.

Grande has remained silent on the event, and the premiere activities carried on uninterrupted.

Hundreds of Singapore attendees had queued up to meet the cast of Wicked

Many of fans had gathered in a crowd of green and pink at the Wicked: For Good regional premiere in a Singapore venue, including several who had queued for as long as eight hours before it began.

The movie, to be premiered on the 21st of November, is the sequel of a two-film interpretation of the well-known Broadway and West End musical Wicked, which revolves around the surprising bond between two very different characters.

The show itself is a adaptation of the classic story The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who plays the benevolent sorceress Glinda, was decked out in a light pink sequin dress at the premiere while Erivo, who plays the wicked witch, wore a black tube gown featuring roses.

They were joined by cast member Jeff Goldblum.

The previous installment, Wicked, was the highest-grossing film of last year in the UK, and scored 10 Oscar nominations, earning several for outstanding attire and artistic direction.
