The Comedy Series Brassic Calls it a Day with Influenced by Tarantino Finale

The creators Joseph Gilgun and Danny Brocklehurst are wrapping up on their humorous show about a close-knit group of likable chancers running riot in a countryside town in Lancashire. You might expect the last episode to be a nostalgic highlight reel of booze, drugs and cheeky thievery. But, the atmosphere turns much more somber as the character Vinnie, played by Gilgun and the crew barricade themselves in a bar with gangster Davey MacDonagh for a climactic 50th episode apparently inspired by the filmmaker Quentin Tarantino.

But the penultimate episode of this initially sluggish but eventually gripping series about phone hacking sees Nick, portrayed by David Tennant uncovering information about the actions of the News of the World that the other media outlets simply can’t ignore. The situation improves for Dave, who has a surprising new ally.
